Is this e-mail a phishing attempt?

If you've received an e-mail and you're not sure of it's legitimacy, you can check the UA's Phishing Alerts site and see if it's a.) already been reported, or b.) report it yourself.  Also, DO NOT open any attachments or click on any link(s) within the e-mail you find suspicious until you've received confirmation of legitimacy from UA's Information Security team.

Here's a few things you should also keep in mind:

  • If you're not expecting an e-mail from the sender and you don't know who it is, be vigilant.
  • If you receive an e-mail with obvious and/or blatant spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors, be vigilant.
  • Be cautious of e-mail from outside the University that you're not familiar with.
  • Do not forward any e-mails you find suspicious - simply delete and check the above links to report.
