Cooperative Extension and Out of State or International Programs Policy

University of Arizona Cooperative Extension (CE) faculty salaries are provided by State of Arizona funding and their programs are accordingly expected to be aimed towards the direct benefit of the citizens of Arizona. Out of state and/or international programs involving CE faculty need to have both unit head and CE Administration approval for the authorization and sanction for program direction and delivery with international partners. However, for any Extension faculty that are engaging in out of state and/or international programs that are not approved or sanctioned by the CE Administration, they need to be doing so on their own personal time and they should be providing information to unit heads regarding intentions to consult as appropriate. This is effective immediately and there are no exceptions to this CE policy.
