Staff Manual of Procedures for Fiscal Year 2021-2022.

Volunteer Systems for Cooperative Extension provides guidance and assistance to County and Tribal extension office staff as they work to identify and screen volunteers in all programs that use volunteers.

Procedures are set up to provide protection for volunteer and staff.   For example, ensuring that all regular volunteers have completed the Designated Campus Colleague registration process guarantees that the volunteer stands in a clear legal relationship to the university (read: is entitled to liability and accident coverage) and that you, the staff member, are also in compliance.  Failure to register our volunteers as DCC is a violation of university policy for staff and volunteer alike.

Because our procedure must match university processes, it is subject to change.

Thank you!

Volunteers have no surplus of time.  They give us what they take from other areas of their lives.  It is a gift.
