SimMan 3G Orientation

1. Quick Start
   1. Startup
      
      
      1. Simulator – Turn on SimMan 3G. Manikin will take 2 – 3 minutes and will start breathing and blinking
      2. Instructor Workstation - Turn on workstation and connect Wi-Fi to appropriate manikin e.g. HSEB04
      3. Launch the Instructors application and select "instructor mode scenario"
      4. Patient Monitor – Log on to patient monitor using the generic password, connect the Wi-Fi to the correct manikin and launch the "Patient Monitor" software
         
         
   2. Shutdown

1. 1. 1. Close the patient monitor by clicking on "main setup" and "shutdown monitor"
      2. Shutdown the patient monitor
      3. Close the instructor Application by selecting File Exit and shutdown the laptop or computer
      4. Turn off SimMan3G using the power button on his right side
      5. Unplug the Manikin

Launch the voice application software and ensure the right output and input are selected.

Instructor monitor controls (1)

To change the vitals on monitor controls please click on the selected numerical value that you need changed. You can change it by manually typing the values or by using the up and down arrows to change the values.

Sound & Vocal Controls (2)

Please use the drop down list to change the body sounds (heart, lung and bowel) as needed.
To speak as the voice of the patient use the provided headset and press F5 and hold on the keyboard to speak

1. Enter the patients initial vitals from the case
2. Proceed to speak to the 'physician' as the voice of the patient
3. Change the patient vitals as needed
